Want to learn to sail?

If you’ve ever looked at the river and wished it was you on the water the RCYC can make that happen.

Will I like it?  No experience necessary – just get in touch with the Club for a trial sail. Our members have a variety of boats and there are Club training boats with instructors – either way we can get you out in a boat to see if it’s for you.  We also have appropriate clothing to kit you out.

How do I learn?  The RCYC have ‘Sailing on Sunday’ sessions when you will be taken out on a Club boat and shown the ropes by a qualified trainer – this has proved to be a successful and friendly way into the sport.  Once you have the basics you can choose what next – racing or cruising, sails or motor – there are exciting choices ahead.

Can the whole family join in?  Under 18 year olds are looked after by our thriving junior section, the Corinthian Otters. This popular club is for 8-18 year olds and has its own boats and trainers.

Anyone wanting to give sailing a try please contact the Club – 01621 782105 or email info@royalcorinthian.co.uk.  As a leading sailing club the RCYC is here to introduce people to the sport that is already our passion.
