This included John Apps at the helm of Cormorant, which was good to see.
The five boats racing on the first Saturday faced a blustery start and won the Bank Holiday Regatta was won by Corella overall with Nick Oliver at the helm. Nick continued his success by winning the Midweek Regatta but not without a battle from Cormorant with John Apps and crew revelling in the brisk conditions.
The best part of a force seven on the Wednesday race lured Corindelle onto the mud with a falling tide but she was ably recovered by the harbourmaster’s RIB, guided by Roger Mant.
Saturday’s weather was far more summery with the last race of the week sporting seven starters, won by Corinna helmed by Robert Melville, neck and neck all the way round but on the line by half a boat length on Corella which in an RCOD is not a lot!
