RCOD Last Race of the Season 18 Oct 2023
The RCODS sailed their last race of the autumn series on Saturday 15 October. We’ve had reasonable turnouts throughout the series sailed in mainly fine weather. Racing on Saturday proved somewhat challenging with all 4 entries struggling on the start line due to a very fast running tide. Three boats were called over – two restarted but unfortunately Coralie decided not to return and was counted OCS. Corinna managed to get away on the short town course establishing a strong lead. Both Cormorant and Coram struggled with weedy hulls and eventually decided that the tide had too much of an advantage and retired.
Hopefully some RCODS will participate in the Marco Polo on October 28 and then support the Laying Up Supper.
