The Barr family are there in force as well as the Andersons and the Suttons, all enjoying warm weather over Christmas and New Year. This is an interim report from Holly Anderson, with one day and two races still to be sailed.
Hot temperatures, strong and shifty winds have made for extremely difficult sailing conditions at the Cadet World Championships at Sandy Bay Sailing Club in Hobart Tasmania.
As we enter the last day with winds once again in excess of 25 knots, best placed British boat is GBR 9000, White Stuff Alex Corby and Robert Keen (Fishers Green Sailing Club) in third position.
Otters have found the conditions testing and the placing with two more races to go are Nick Sutton and Scarlett Anderson Nasty Tern in 17th, Sam and Ben Barr Whatever in 29th and Joe Barr, sailing with Jess D’Arcy Not so Nauti! from Frensham Pond in 36th position out of 49 competitors.
