Otter Wins First RS Tera Inland Championship 27 Oct 2008
The first RS Tera Inland Championship took place on the 25th/26th October at Draycote Waters Sailing Club. The overall winner was a Corinthian Otter, James Hutton-Penman.
There were 30 entrants from all over the country including the Isle of Man. James sailed consistently during the four race series scoring two firsts, a second and a third. Fellow Oppie sailor Robert Dyer from Sutton Bingham Sailing Club was 2nd and Greg Kelly from the Isle of Man Yacht Club was 3rd. Joshua Aldridge of the Burnham Sailing Club came 6th.
The class is growing all the time and the regatta proved that the boats are reasonably easy to handle by the lighter sailors and great fun too.
Well done to James.
