Optimist RYA Zone Squad & ET Selections 3 Apr 2007

The culmination of this training is the Eric Twiname Championships where eight members of each regional zone squad are selected to represent their region in a big team event in May.

I am pleased to report all three of our zone squad Otters made the Eastern Region team of eight, a fantastic achievement. They have worked hard all winter and thoroughly deserve it.

I would urge all Oppy parents to consider entering their children for this training for next winter. Places are earned not only for positions in certain indicator events but also if ability is spotted by the RYA trainers. Having seen James improve so much over the winter I can thoroughly recommend it; the training offered by the RYA is absolutely fantastic.
