Cadet World Championships, Argentina 28 Jan 2010
Wow, the Worlds in Buenos Aires were an amazing, once in a lifetime experience for everyone and which, for me, will be remembered as one of the best!

The training began on the 22nd of December, the winds were light and the team did not go out until midday, which seemed to be the pattern for the whole event.
This late start to the day reflected the entire atmosphere of the worlds, off the water, relaxed and calm.
Alex and I had a rough start to training; Alex was very ill and we gained a few leakages from the wood drying out in the container, but by the second day we were out on the water joining the rest of our team in finding out how tricky the high chop and powerless light winds were. With a few tips from Coach Adam we managed to iron out any problems and were ready to race.
For anyone who managed to follow the racing, you could see that team GBR managed to grab some great race results.
Corinthian representatives, Chris Sycamore, Will Kennedy and I scored top ten results and the two Burnham boys Chris and Will raced themselves into a bullet each. We were able to get great results with some great racing in good winds up to a Force 5 but could only achieve this with an amazing amount of support from our parents, our sponsors and you, our club members.
GBR won the best overall team. Chris Brewer and Ole Alcock finished 2nd,
William Kennedy and Rhos Hawes finished 7th and Sophie Dingwall and Chris Sycamore ended in 19th position. Jessica Quinlan and Alex Warrington finished 26th after an unfortunate last day.
We left Argentina with a week of great racing behind us and also with the email addresses of our friendly competitors who put on a week of great social activities.

Again kind regards to all those who supported the Corinthian sailors.
