Three Squibs raced following return from Kinsale Nationals 1 Jul 2022
Saturday saw just three Squibs racing., due to the Squibs returning from the Nationals in Kinsale.
– Brutus with Simon and Kate.
– Sophie with Dave, Scarlet and Dan ((three up)
– What’s the Story with Nick, Stuart, Seb and Mia (Four up)
Course set by Race officer Adam Prior was EB. Rubber Ball, Roach, Greenwood, Pinto, Branklet, home.
We all started pretty much together and it was Brutus that managed to reach the mark first, followed by What’s the Story and then Sophie.
Beating up the Roach to Roach mark, What’s the Story rounded first and managed to maintain the lead to get line honours.
It’s was lovely to see Stuart Mears and Nick Tolhurst Sailing with their Kids having fun, with lots of chatting and smiling faces. A well deserved Victory!
One thing, I don’t recommend, is sailing with three adults in a Squib, rather cramped and pretty much, getting in each other’s way! 😁
Next Squib event on the Calendar, is the Jimmy Starling 9th/10th July. Please enter and book in for the meal at the BSC.
