Over the past few weeks I have been competing in the Corinthian Otters VR Inshore Racing Series and Spring Championships. The racing has been very competitive and intense making the racing tougher and tougher as the series went on, consistency was key! I congratulate Ben Hutton-Penman as the winner of the earlier held Spring Series. Ben along with Florence Brellisford and Felicity Brellisford and many others really brought the competition to the next level in the Spring Championships held at the weekend which was a closely raced event won by Charlie Bacon.

There has been a really great thing for the Otters because it brings us all together to do what we love in a time where there is really not much anyone can do. There was certainly a buzz in the Bacon household every Saturday morning and Tuesday night anticipating the tight and unpredictable racing ahead. I would like to thank all who participated in this last w/e’s Spring Champs. and helped organise and special thanks go to Martha Waples, Nick and Sarah Matthews for their amazing effort during this lockdown. Let’s hope that we can all go sailing (not virtually) soon!
