WoWs lunch trip to Fambridge 25 Sep 2026
Last Friday (another sunny Friday, but most Fridays since we started in June 2025 have been 😊) the WoWs set off for their second sail of the year to Fambridge, a great way to spend more time on the water and, of course, have a good lunch and social too.
As well as the club’s 707s, we sailed in company with Mark & Mandy and Simon & Sarah on their cruisers – they’d kindly offered to take all the extra WoWs who weren’t able to get on the 707s, so no one missed out.
In total, 38 WoWs and helms sat down for lunch, during which the wind picked up, making the run/reach home great fun. The ladies were buzzing coming ashore, with the atmosphere carrying into the club bar.
The day was also notable because WoW Caroline helmed a 707 for the first time and WoW Tabitha took control from mooring to mooring. Well done to both ladies! Wows growing their own 😊. We also welcomed Jackie McKellar, from Royal Harwich, who visited to get a flavour of the WoWs initiative.
Another great sail for the WoWs…as always! And thanks once again to our amazing helms for their continued, and much appreciated, support.
