The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club in Burnham-on-Crouch is a vibrant and sociable members club that sits on the River Crouch and we are seeking a new, part time, office administrator to join our close-knit member support team. Your role, and our club, is diverse – we host activities through the year with a programme packed with sailing every weekend plus events and regattas, private functions and weddings, as well as regular bistros and a busy bar for members. We really do cover it all.
You, working alongside others of our member support team, will be the friendly face on a Saturday morning, welcoming our members (especially our youth section, so ages range from 8 to 98!) and customers through the door. In addition, there will be the usual day-to-day office activities such as answering calls and emails, updating the club website and a host of general office duties.
Reporting to the office manager, you will learn about and take responsibility for other aspects of office life associated with a yacht club, such as membership and moorings. We are a small and friendly team and there will be times when you will be working alone using your own initiative. Every day will be unique.
You will have:
– great customer service skills – this is a customer facing role
– excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Social Media)
– a good memory and attention to detail, taking pride in your work
– previous experience within an office or sailing environment are favoured but not
essential.
You will be trained on the job to help maintain our website and social media channels.
20 hours per week, with plenty of opportunity to be involved at other times. Up to £10 per hour, based on experience.
Interviews will take place week commencing 4th May, with a hopeful start date of mid-May.
