Wades win British Dragon Association Citron Trophy 13 Jan 2018
Saturday 13th January 2018
A lively BDA AGM and Dinner was held at the Royal Thames Yacht Club on Friday 12 January. A very social affair with a few formal bits thrown in for good measure. The class is embarking on a very positive PR drive so we will get the opportunity to show others what we get upto as a fleet in Burnham as well as seeing what other BDA members get up to!
The dinner sees the traditional presentation of the Citron Trophy for the boat with the best cumulative performance at BDA events in the preceding year and the winners for 2017 were the Burnham Fleet’s very own Mark and Mandy Wade in Avalanche. Thanks Harriet for the image of the moment BDA Chair Julia presented the trophy.
A little further afield, in Australia, Rob Campbell has tasted victory in 2018 with a win in the Ted Albert Memorial trophy – the precursor to the Prince Philip Cup (Australian National Championships). He then followed this with Runner-up in the Prince Philip Cup, and first placed Corinthian entry.
