Saturday 16th June 2018

It was a windy start to the Otters in Squibs event with 8 boats jostling for position on the start line (some a little to closely!) With the brilliant Paul Drew as Race Officer the course was set and off we went powering away from the start, with the Squib owners being shown how high the Otter standard of racing really is!

The racing was tight but by the last race there were two clear leaders in Humphrey (helmed by Lizzie Rands) and Magic Roundabout (helmed by Harry Phelps).  With it all coming down to the final lap of the final race it was touch and go as to who would win but Lizzie, along with Otters Amelia Hague and Milly Drew held on for a nail biting finish with Squibber Carl Anderson.

A big thank you to all the Squib owners for letting the Otters use their boats and to the various Squib members who acted as crew on each boat.
