Edwin and Team Pheobe, kindly volunteered to be the race officers for the event.

A good fleet of 11 Boats were entered for the event, with a mixture of talented Sailors across the Fleet. Newcomers to the fleet were Andy Dodds and his son Harry were Sailing David Mallard’s Electra. The commented on how much fun it was and look forward to joining the Burnham Squib Fleet next year.

We were blessed with perfect Sailing conditions. With a 7-15 knot breeze, we had a beat against the tide, with a race time of 30 minutes, it was windward, Leeward courses, four races were sailed.

Phil Aspinall,  sailing his Guy Faulks with Dave Shepard, had a great start, they won the first two races. Second in race one, was Nic Tolhurst and Ross Corbett. Second in race two was Mick Wright and Chis Agar.

With two races left to sail, it was tight at the top between, Micky, Phil and Nic.

Micky and Chris, pulled out the stops and won them both, thus winning by a slender margin of two points. (see overall results)
