Farleigh Hospice Regatta 17 Aug 2009
The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club once again organised a club charity regatta and raised a staggering total of over £2500 for Farleigh Hospice. A record number of members and visitors entered with boats from the RBOD, RCOD, Flying Fifteens, RS Elite, Dragon, Squib and 707 fleets, all enjoying the excellent sailing conditions.
Two races were sailed on Saturday afternoon and a further two on Sunday morning. On Saturday evening members were treated to a delicious supper looking over the river and they were then joined by quite a crowd to be entertained by FRAUD – a five piece cover band. The evening finished at midnight with crowds still chanting, “One more song, one more song!”
Farleigh Hospice would like to thank everyone who took part in the weekend, either with organising or sailing, and supporting the hospice once again. It is because you all care, that we can…
