On Saturday, the Cruiser Fleet held its annual Pontoon Party. Our host boats were Harmonie, with Ian and Iona Scott; JaKaBe, with Nick and James Hutton-Penman; Tamarisk, with James Napier and Lee-Aye; Jenny Wren, with Ken and Mira Smith; and Buttercup, with Tim and Sue Howard.

About 35 members and guests enjoyed viewing the boats and chatting with the owners over drinks and nibbles. The weather stayed fair, and we had the added spectacle of Thames Barges coming up the river to moor off Burnham Quay.

An evening Bistro in the Club bar for 25 members finished off a most enjoyable afternoon.
