Cruiser Fleet AGM Report 28 Nov 2023
Over forty members of the Cruiser Fleet attended the 2023 AGM followed by a Carvery Lunch.
Our Cruiser Class Captain Tom Keeper chaired the meeting and having for various reasons not been able to play as full a part in fleet activities as he had hoped Tom had opted not to continue for a second year. Tom thanked those who were able to stand in for him on occasions and the Fleet ends 2023 with all momentum maintained and great enthusiasm for the coming season.
Jack Page was elected as the new Class Captain for the coming year and at 25 years old has reduced the average age of Corinthian Cruiser Fleet Class Captains by some margin. Jack lives in Burnham having a flat that overlooks his RCYC mooring, home to his Contessa 26 ‘Pericles’.
Sheena Cosens continues as Treasurer and Ian Keam-George continues his adopted role supporting the Class Captain by helping to organise racing and having an important input on other events on the water.
There were presentations made after the meeting by Ian including the Trophy for ‘Best Cruise’ which went to Peter and Caroline Hooper for their North Sea Crossing from Southwold to Den Helder in ‘Trinco’, which is also a classic Contessa 26.
