Chef Simon Carves Up a Midweek Treat 11 Nov 2015
What could be better to help combat the dismal autumnal weather? Well, those who were at the club on Wednesday night were royally fed with a feast of multiple roasts with all the trimmings.
In a week of damp and blustery conditions, Head Chef Simon was there to carve up a storm and a busy club welcomed the inaugural usage of our brand new hot plates.
“It was like Christmas had come early” said one member and “best roast in town” crowed another, with “if this was available after weekend racing I would bring the family down”. The food was exceptional and delivered to the high standard that is now enjoyed by members and visitors each and every week at the club.
A choice of roast beef, turkey and pork was on offer along with a delicious range of sides and sauces. For those who could find room there was also a fine selection of deserts.
It was indeed a successful launch of the hot plates and hats off to Simon for serving up a treat.
More of the same will be most welcome!
