Carnival Postscript 5 Oct 2011
If you were at the Burnham Carnival last week, you will surely have admired the entry from the RNLI. Dick Rycroft sent these photos to record the daring raid of the Viking Invaders on Burnham’s landmark waterfront the next day. They rowed from the marina to the Corinthian pontoon and then sailed back.
He also pointed out that “unlike the other floats in the carnival procession, this one actually did!”
Just as well, when you think about it – it would have been really embarrassing if the RNLI was needed for a rescue…
