Annual General Meeting 2010 13 Dec 2010
An unprecented number of members attended the AGM on December 12th.
Some members had travelled considerable ditances to support Commodore Stuart Munro as he embarked on his third year, supported by Robert Coyle as his Vice Commodore with Annie Reid and Peter Marchant taking the flags of Rear Commodores for House and Sailing respectively.
More that three times the average number of members were in attendance to register their votes in the ballot for places on the General Committee and the Hon Sec, Clive Page with his counting assistants and scrutineers, was able to announce the result before long.
The new General Committee is now full strength at fifteen members and with some new younger faces will be well placed to steer the Club forward with confidence.
Most members then retired to enjoy an excellent pre-Christmas lunch of Turkey and Pudding for the traditionalists and Beef and Fruit Tart for the rest whilst we all chewed over events…
