A Worthwhile Break 13 May 2013
The crew of the RNLI’s Atlantic 85 Tony and Robert Britt took a few moments from their usual Sunday morning training schedule to call at RCYC to receive a cheque to boost their funds. The members, wives, family and friends of Westcliff Masonic Lodge were gathered there for Sunday Lunch and it was the ideal opportunity to hand over a cheque for £500, a donation which was gratefully received.

As part of their regular Charitable Fundraising the Lodge had raised this amount for the Burnham Lifeboat and it is hoped that this will fund one of the younger crew members to attend a training course at the RNLI Training College in Poole.
Freemasons have a long association with the RNLI and continue to fund several Lifeboat Stations around the Country.
