Members are asked to make their nominations for this years ‘Dwilla Award’
Derek Corless, whose wife, Dwilla Mortimore, died in 2017 set up this award in her memory. She was a management consultant working with the Coverdale organisation and she believed passionately in helping people achieve their full potential. Her clipboard sessions were legendary and helped many, including RCYC members and staff, to develop their careers. She taught people to develop their skills so that they could succeed personally and within an organisation. She was a free spirit and saw and fostered this in others.
The award is presented yearly, and the awardee will receive a silver medallion which they will keep. The trophy is a silver clipboard which will be engraved with their name. The trophy is kept in the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club. The award is given to the person who has endeavoured the most to help the Club and is eligible to both members and staff alike. The trustees seek nominations for the award and then decide who will receive the trophy and medallion.
This year the award will once again be announced at the AGM, on Sunday 11th December 2022. Please present your sealed nomination (titled Dwilla Award ) either to the RCYC office by 3rd December 2022 or by e–mailing the Commodore on commodore@royalcorinthian.co.uk
