Hoj-Jensen wins the Edinburgh Cup 31 May 2006
Seven RCYC Dragons travelled south for the Edinburgh Cup. The racing was eventful. The wind increased after the practice race on Saturday and race one was moved to Sunday.

Three races were squeezed in on Sunday in medium breeze with strong tides contributing to more than a couple of mass mark roundings and some bumps and scrapes.
On Monday the unseasonable weather persisted with wind and squalls leading to two broken masts, a host of men overboard and two sinking Dragons including the RCYC’s own Amok (Clive Morgan, crewed by Kate Sanderson and Simon Cash).
The last race on Tuesday was won by Quicksilver III with Rob, Matt and Jonathan. lifting them to 5th overall. Thriving in the heavy conditions Danish Blue with Poul Hoj-Jensen, Chris Brittain and Noddy won the two races on windy Monday and with a third on the last day had done enough to win the Cup overall.
Our thanks go to Katie Cole, who worked morning and evening to repair hulls, rigging and masts and keep everyone racing.
