LIGHT AIRS SAILING

Three Dragon teams enjoyed a good test of light airs sailing skills in strong current. ‘Beauty and the Beast’ won the start and the finish of Saturday’s race leading ‘Dublin Bay’ (David, Dave, Geoff) and ‘Still Crazy’ (Alex, Rene, Shep) in that order. The course set included two trips to Cliff, but the fleet unanimously shortened course themselves on the water as getting to Cliff once was challenge enough!

A bright and light Sunday saw the same finishing order but this time with the lead changing at mark one from ‘Still Crazy’ (Ian, Rene, Alex) who bore away and set their spinnaker to ‘Beauty’ who gybe and set theirs on a different course and went straight into first place. ‘Still Crazy’, losing all their wind, retired on lap two of three.
