Five Dragons enjoyed four windward/ leeward races arranged by Club Admiral Edwin Buckley and ‘Team Phoebe’ on Sunday. A course was set between Pinto and Redward as a dull morning turned into a sunny afternoon with Harbour porpoises for company.

Although each boat enjoyed a spell in the lead, it was Avalanche (Mark, Harriet, Stuart) that dominated, winning the first three races to wrap up the series. They even recovered from a wardrobe malfunction (clothing in the furling gear) to finish second in race four. Quicksilver VI (Rob, Penny, Heath) finished second counting 2,2,1 and Beauty and the Beast (Pete, Katie, Noddy) finished third.

Away from home, the Dragon fleet has been active, with Still Crazy (Ian, Rene, Ian) winning the East Coast Championships at Medway, Jono Brown helming to 4^th overall and top Corinthian at the prestigious Regates Royales in Cannes and Katie Cole crewing on Royal Dragon Bluebottle to win the South Coast Championships out of Cowes.
