East Coasts Notes

The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club in Burnham on Crouch look forward to welcoming you for this regatta, enjoying your company on and off the water. This year we are sailing three championships within the regatta. We are anticipating some twelve boats competing. The tides are awkward for us with regard to lifting in/out; see below for details.

Would last year’s trophy winners ensure they have returned their trophies, please. Quentin has returned his; other winners were Patrick Gifford, Tim Hannon, Mark, Ian and Toby.

Thursday 22nd May HW 0820 hrs & 2030 hrs

Lifting in will take place from around 0800hrs for local boats.

Friday 23rd May HW 0934 hrs

Assembly of visitors. Lifting in will take place from around 0845-1030 hrs for visitor boats only.

1700-1830 hrs Registration in club house. Please ensure you book in with the registration team. Ensure you have entered the correct category for your boat and that you and your crew have up to date World Sailing classification if competing for the Corinthian Trophy.

1800 hrs onwards Club bistro available. Please book in beforehand.

Saturday 24th May HW 1039 hrs

Lifting in will take place from around 0930-1100 hrs for visitor boats only.

1030 – 1130 hrs Registration in club house. Please ensure you book in with the registration team. Packed lunches available from the clubhouse. Also ensure you have booked in for all socials by this time.

1130 hrs briefing east end of the clubhouse by Race Officer Edwin Buckley,

1325 hrs first warning signal for race 1, followed by 2 further races.

1900 hrs Saturday is curry night at the club. Dragons will have dedicated tables available in the Trophy Room. Please book in beforehand.

Sunday 25th May HW 1136 hrs

Packed lunches available from the clubhouse.

1055 hrs first warning signal for race 4, followed by 2 other races. No warning signal after 1600 hrs.

There is no recovery window for visitor boats due to tides, unfortunately.

1900 hrs Regatta & Prizegiving Dinner at the club. Yachting dress. Please book in beforehand.

Monday 26th May HW 1227 hrs

From 1145 hrs craning out. Visitors are the priority. Assistance needed from home team, please.

Tuesday 27th May HW 1316 hrs

From 1245 hrs craning out for home boats if necessary.
