RCYC Cruisers Race to Harwich 2014 27 May 2014

The more modern designs, Clara (Coyles) and Quick Reflex (Kings) led the way round various named navigation marks like Crouch and Swin Spitway. Sherpa (Kirkby) was ahead of Star Swan (Heasleys) until they had a three course lunch somewhere in the Wallet, when a hungry Arthur got past.
The crews timed their own finishes at Stone Banks in the approaches to Harwich and Clara proved to be the winner.
Suffolk Yacht Harbour was full but we all squeezed into slightly too small berths and went to the Lightship.

For the two boats that stayed over on Sunday the wind turned round on Monday and blew them straight back to Burnham!
