Félicitations à Roger! 9 Apr 2013

Congratulations to Roger who has been awarded le Prix littéraire Henri-Queffélec for the French translation of his book, Mingming & the Art of Minimal Ocean Sailing as part of the Le Festival Livre & Mer. His book was selected from a list of eight nominations and he and Brenda will depart for Concarneau next week for the presentation.

Once there, however, he will have to ‘sing for his supper’! This prize is obviously a major part of the festival so Roger will be involved in several events, discussions, a radio interview and meeting the public, as well as reading extracts from his book.

The prize itself consists of 1000 euros. One thing you can surely bet is that he won’t be spending it on the latest navigational gizmo for his boat!
