The Cruiser Fleet Sunday Lunches and talks just keep on getting better and better: Sunday the 20th of January saw Dick Durham amuse, entertain and educate over 50 members and guests with his well illustrated talk, showing off his photographic and journalistic skills, his genuine love of the East Coast and above all else his sailing skills.
Dick’s slides covered every aspect of sailing in our local waters; sandbanks with skeletal wrecks giving their ghostly warnings, towers and ancient structures which served to warn in the past and strange lighting effects on mudflats.
(I’m ignoring his pictures of him aground and just about every sandbank between Southend and Southwold).
The pork crackling was very good too, Dick will be a hard act to follow.
Over to you, Roger…
