Over forty members attended the Cruiser Fleet’s first event of 2024 on Sunday 14th January.

Tom Keeper entertained and informed with his seemingly limitless knowledge of Essex bird life in his talk The Special Bird Life of the River Crouch. The talk highlighted both the regional and global importance of the Essex coastline for a huge variety of bird species. Attendees were left with a substantial list of things to look (and listen) out for when they are next on the water.

The talk was followed by a carvery lunch.
