The Pontoon Party featured an excellent selection of cruising boats owned by members, most of whom have joined our club since the last Pontoon Party which was held before the pandemic in 2019.

Each of the host boats kindly provided drinks and nibbles for the guests including some specialist cocktails that packed quite a punch!

This event is an excellent opportunity for our Club Officers and members of other Fleets to meet Cruiser Fleet members.  By definition the Cruisers often venture off on their own journeys away from the club house throughout the season.

The photographs do not do justice to the success of the event, at times the pontoon and the boats were packed with guests, many talking to the owners about their boats and the voyages they make in them.  I guess we were all too busy to take a photograph and capture the moment.

After the party, members of the Cruiser Fleet and their guests retired to the bar for an informal Bistro which continued the camaraderie late into the evening.

There will be another great selection of boats at the Pontoon Party next year and we are all looking forward to another enjoyable evening.
