707 Eastern Area Championships 2019
What is it?
A two-day event consisting of a series of short course fleet racing for teams of 4-5 members to be sailed in 707 matched keelboats.
The type of racing is designed to make exciting, high speed sailing and minimise the spread in the fleet, and with a target time of 15 minutes per race, the emphasis is on as many short races in as quick succession as possible. The switching of teams between boats and the number of races mitigates any differences in boats.
What is it going to achieve?
The best racing you’ve had this year….stress free until the warning signal. Multiple races on a level playing field against all entrants. At least one member of each team to be a member of the 707 Class Association
Where is it?
Royal Corinthian Yacht Club Burnham on Crouch Essex and sailed in the protected waters of the Rivers Crouch and Roach. Culminating with the prize giving on Sunday afternoon, to celebrate the team winning the East Coast Championships
How do I get involved?
Any team wishing to enter should complete the entry form and email: to info@royalcorinthian.co.uk ….then just rock up and race.
How much does it cost?
707 East Coast Championship entry fee is £250.00 per team plus £20.00 to cover the Saturday evening meal. The damage deposit is £500.00
