The Trophy |  |
During a recent visit to the London Silver Vaults, Beecher had purchased a fine silver replica of the
J Class Endeavour and donated it as the trophy for the Championship. For many years it was sent home with the winner, usually wrapped up in a blanket on the back seat of the car but it proved too fragile for such treatment and having undergone a couple of refits, now stays in its display cabinet in the entrance to the Clubhouse. The winner takes a splendid half model instead, too large to be forgotten to return! |
