The Endeavour Trophy 2007, hosted by the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club, is taking place on the weekend of 5th – 7th of October.
The Regatta will be sponsored by leading performance hardware manufacturer, Holt. The boats this year are again sponsored by Topper; after the success of the two previous years at this prestigious and unique sailing event, Topper are supplying the Xenon, the One Design two man asymmetric dinghy.
The weekend begins with a training day on Friday, when top coach Adam Bowers will be providing the essential tips to help the sailors become familiar with the boat. With his support they’ll be able to tune the Xenon to suit their own tastes, in time to be at sailing peak performance when the racing starts on Saturday.
The regatta will adopt the same eight race programme as last year, each race running 45 action packed minutes. It’s a format that has worked superbly well in the past.
The Endeavour Dinner takes place on the Saturday evening; it's always an exciting time, dining and swapping srories with this select band of dinghy National Champions.
Last year the Endeavour’s defending champion from 2005, Nick Craig, successfully took the title again with his crew James Stuart. Nick has secured his invitation for this 2007 event. Will he take his fourth consecutive Endeavour? There’s a wealth of talent waiting to try and stop him - time will tell.
